Halloween 2013

Hannah's 1st Halloween

I found this unicorn costume during the summer at Party City on clearance for $5, I couldn't pass it up. It's one size too big and she couldn't really crawl while wearing it, but she's still adorable.

 We had our ward trunk or treat on Oct 25th. We dressed as baseball fans. Easiest costume ever. I made some pumpkin black bean chilli. There were so many kids and we didn't have enough candy. We ditched out early to put Hannah to bed.

The next night we drove to Scottsdale for the balloon spooktacular. It wasn't that great. It took forever to park, and it was mostly just vendors. The lines for Halloween candy were ridiculous, but it was nice to get out and see some cool balloons. We ran into one of Ryan's employees and got to see their new little baby Blake.

Halloween night was fun. This is the first year we've been home for Halloween. We got a good amount of trick or treaters and even had candy leftover! We just hung out at home with Hannah. Next year when she can walk we'll take her out trick or treating.

The Ninth Month

36-40 weeks

Oct 27-Nov 25

Total weight gain 28 lbs

Went over birth plan with Midwife. Overall very impressed with the practice and hospital.

Ankles very swollen.

My Midwife told me she was leaving the practice and probably wouldn't deliver my baby. My last appointment was Nov 13 where she checked me. I was measuring right on track. Babies HB 140. Strep B Test. Baby was head down and "lodged." She had me feel her head. Estimated @ 5 3/4 lbs. 50% effaced and -1 station.

Sore hips and pelvis. Hard to walk. Hard to be on my feet all day. Everyone says I look small.

Had a neat experience at the Temple that helped us finalize her name.

Bought a Bumbo and Baby Bjorn at The Mother Load Sale. Found a bunch of stuff at Consignment Stores too.

Dressed up as an 8 ball for Halloween.

My cousin took some Maternity Pics.

Had baby shower.

Went on Babymoon to Santa Fe.

Missed our last birthing class because baby came.

Cupcakes from work.

Paid hospital co-pay.

Started having contractions.

What's Happening Wednesday

01. Canned 27 jars of chicken for the first time with my sister, 3 jars didn't seal. We think it's because the rings were old.
02. Trying to find a group of people to run a 5k on Thanksgiving, no takers yet.
03. Thinking of signing up for a 1/2 marathon in February.
04. Carved 3 pumpkins this year.
05. Looking into gym's since it's too cold for me to run outside.
06. Have a busy, busy week with a bridal shower, baby shower then 2 weddings.
07. My mom and I both got MOTAB tickets for different days so we need to decide when we're going.
08. Did not dress up for Halloween this year.
09. Ryan cleaned our carpets.
10. Go here to see my brother-in-laws families pumpkins. They're pretty great.

What's Happening Wednesday

01. We got a statement in the mail yesterday for Ryan's MRI back in August. Instead of paying $2300, like we planned, we only had to pay $850. Our insurance picked up the rest. What a blessing!
02. Went to a relief society pie demonstration activity and cookie exchange. It got me excited for the Holidays.
03. Found out a dear friend from college is getting married.
04. My weekend trip to Vegas/St. George was great - didn't want to leave the warm weather. More details later.
05. Missed our regional stake conference with Elder Bednar. Bummer
06. Attended the St George temple with my mom and grandma
07. Finished Book II of the Hunger Games. Picking up Book III tonight.
08. Listened to a book on cd and got home before it was over. I had to call my mom at work to find out who the murderer was.
09. A pen went through the wash and got blue ink on a few things. Frustrated.
10. Excited for our Halloween festivities this weekend.
