Stampin' Up

It's been a long while since I've done any Stamping, so I was thrilled to know that a lady in our ward here does it! She doesn't do monthly Stamp Night, but she does other projects as well. We made these 5 cards recently. I love them!

Gender Reveal and update

G

This appointment was fun. Ryan was late, again, so while we waited we listened to the heartbeat, watched some 4D action and checked the brain, heart, spine etc. Everything looked perfect! When Ryan came she attempted to sneak a peak for the gender but baby was on its stomach (like its mommy loves to do) glancing over her shoulder and wouldn't move.  I drank some apple juice, waited a few minutes and we tried again. It worked! When it flashed on the screen Ryan or I didn't know what we were looking at. The lady sat there for a minute and said "you're having a girl!" We both just looked at each other and smiled. We had both hoped for a girl and that's what we were expecting so we weren't too surprised, it just confirmed our notions. All her measurements are right on track and my placenta has also risen about 3.5 cm, which was great to hear! We went out to dinner at the Olive Garden to celebrate and told our families. Having a girl means we get to use all those baby clothes that were donated to us,  we feel so blessed.  Here is the loot organized by size. There are two stacks of newborn size, almost as many 0-3, 3-6 and a few 6-9 and up. There's also about 15 blankets, socks, shoes, hats, bibs and car seat/stroller covers. I've started washing them all and just need to buy storage bins and hangers. Needless to say, we won't be needing to buy any clothes for awhile.

We don't need any diapers either because we're going to cloth diaper. I have bought some already. I'll post some pics when they come.

I just transferred from the hospital to a birth center and had my first appointment there today. I got really hot and broke out into a dripping sweat, it was so embarrassing. Last time that happened, at an ultrasound, I threw up. Luckily, it didn't come to that but I sure made an impression. She gave me apple juice and a granola bar and thinks my blood sugar just dropped since it had been 4 hours since I ate last. She said my face was green. I did have a yogurt I was planning to eat after my appointment, it just went way longer than I planned. She said to make sure and keep snacks with me at all times. She told me I'll probably have a problem with the glucose test since it seems like my blood sugar spikes then drops quick. She suggested I eat 3 eggs before I take that. Anyway, all is well and this pregnancy is flying by. She'll be here before we know it!

4th of July in Utah

Our cats are excited for the baby. They love to lay by and on the baby clothes.

My feet/ankles have started swelling the last few weeks. I hope this subsides when the weather gets cooler.

UTAH TRIP:
My flight was supposed to leave at 5:00, but the plane needed maintenance so they put us on the next flight a few hours later. They credited us $50 and gave us a meal voucher. I spent mine on a shake.

The "armory" room. This is all our fireworks.

Ryan drove down a week before me to play with his family in the Perry softball tournament. This was the game on July 4th morning. They didn't make it to the championship, but had a good time, I think.

Ryan with his dad and brothers after their game.

Me with Ryan's sisters during the game

We were so happy to see Kyler again. He's 6 months old now.

We really enjoyed just hanging around and chatting.

Kyler with his daddy. He was trying to teach him to sit up and roll over.

Some of us during fireworks. We set them off at the park and the boys bought enough to give us an hour show!

While we were with Ryan's family his mom took me to the fabric store to pick out material for baby. She is going to make me a car seat canopy. These are the pieces I picked so once we find out the gender she can buy them.

We spent the next few days with my family and friends. I got to meet my sister's sweet little girl for the first time. She'll be 1 next month.

I got to catch up with my old "young Woman" Ceanna and went shopping with Peggy.

We went to Cafe Rio with some friends from our old ward and enjoyed catching up.

Here's my lil nephew Owen, 6 mos

My sister and her boys

I went to Iceberg with my friend Adria. I definitely paid for all the outings. I gained 3.5 lbs last week.

My sister's birthday is tomorrow so we celebrated early. She had mint brownies and got some gifts. I gave her a scarf and necklace I found at Chery Lane in Provo. Such a great boutique, if you're in the area you need to stop in. Her son helped her blow out the candles.

We had a great time playing games and my cousin stopped by to say hi,

G-man

Our cousin Holly.
My visit was not long enough. I would've loved to be able to stay another few days to spend more time with everyone. Hopefully we'll be back in a few months. It's hard not living close to family, but we are so grateful for technology so we can keep in touch often.

Me @ 20 weeks!
