Oscar Fashion

    1. Scarlett Johanssen's hair and make-up were divine, but I like the back of the dress better than the front!
Michelle Williams....I kinda wish she'd gone with color...Pretty, but not my fave.

    2. Jennifer Hudson's dress takes a village to manage! The train alone! Great color though and her bod is fab!

Cate Blanchett's dress is fascinating...the construction is complicated! And doesn't she look like Michele Williams' older sister?  Love it or hate it, Cate Blanchett is wearing the heck out of her square-shouldered, pale lavender Givenchy Haute Couture.
    3. On the fence about Amy Adams. Elegant but staid. Navy is a good color with her hair. Make-up is my fave part. Flawless make-up.

    4. Loving Mandy Moore! Uber chic..

    5. Melissa Leo....not loving the Cruella DeVille collar action.
Love Mila Kunis in lavender. Great color choice for her.

    6. Jennifer Lawrence looking beautiful and sleek in red. Deep scoop neck.
Hailee Steinfeld really looks adorbs. From True Grit to (Pale Pink) Swan!

    7. shiny and pale dresses seemed to be taking OVER on the red carpet.

Helena, Helena....WHEN can you get it right???
  1. Hilary Swank. Pretty but not remarkable to me.
Halle Berry... She is hotter than a hot tamale. Now THAT is a pale and shiny dress....

Helen Mirren is a stunning silver fox but the necklace is just too long

Reese Witherspoon giving great hair and makeup and emeralds but the dress is a yawn to me.

NOT into Nicole Kidman's dress...I'm sorry...I'm just not feeling her.

Love Gwyneth's dress but not sure about the placement of the brooch...

Sandra B looking classy and sleek in red, the only REAL COLOR of the evening! red hues are the only color we are seeing on the red carpet!

Celine Dion looks terrific in shimmery Armani Privé

Well, Anne went with the color of the night and looking like Hollywood royalty!

Natalie Portman in deep-purple Rodarte. Liking her Tiffany tassel earrings. She's pregnant like whoa.  gotta give her props. Being preggo during awards season seems like NO SMALL FEAT

I think Annette looks totes fab .

Anne's first switch of the night. White and sparkley...eh.

I like Anne in a tux! And she's got PIPES.

I don't know...I'm feeling like Anne should have stuck with her red Valentino and called it a night maybe.Could live without Anne's fringe dress too.

Mandy Moore shoulda stuck with her red carpet dress too!

OK, I do like Anne's red beaded strapless number.

And Anne puts on a modern shade of blue...ok. She must be exhausted from changing!

My favorite and least favorite Oscar gowns! I don't like saying "best" and "worst",cause let's face it:even the worst are still pretty fancy.

Least fave: Nicole Kidman and Melissa Leo.

Most fave: Jennifer Lawrence, Haliee Steinfeld, Mila Kunis, Halle Berry

Big trends in Oscar wear: pale, shine, red, illusion necklines, lace, strapless, less jewelry, cleavage, messy, looser hair, and emeralds!

So I totally look forward to your posts about red carpet fashion! Don't ever stop!!! I agree with you about not being crazy on Nicole Kidmans's origami dress. My fav was Halle's, because everything just worked for her that night. But, my favorite color of the night was Natalie Portman's dress. I thought she picked a really great dress to show off her baby bump!
