BOA, Crafting for Christmas

We saw this on someone's car the other day..

I've been cooking lately, and I love it! I found some great recipes and made the best taco salad the other night. I've also made beef enchiladas, cheesy potatoes, and I'm making lasagna tomorrow. I'm on a roll!

Conference weekend was so GREAT! I went to two sessions at the conference center with my BFF Sydney. We didn't have any tickets so we just stood at the corner to beg, it worked great! We didn't have as good of luck on Sunday. We were running a little late and by the time we got there the conference center was full so we stood in the standby line and luckily, got into the conference center theater to watch Conference. It was actually great because the screen is bigger and it was easier to get out. Ryan went up to ID with his family Saturday, so I spent the day with Syd. We had dinner and laughed for hours at her sister's house and watched a movie. After the Sunday A.M. session we visited her friend at the hospital, then went to her house for their tradition of Apostolic Conference Nachos. That night we got together with Ryan's family to celebrate his brother's birthday and we also helped them move.

I got to babysit my cute nephew last weekend. He's so fun and is growing up so fast! Although I couldn't put him to sleep, we still had a good time. (I have a bad track record of putting babies to bed) It took me an hour and a half to get down to Provo. It was UEA weekend, Conference weekend, Mission reunions, BYU game, and the weekend so traffic was AWFUL! It was even stop and go driving home at 11:30 at night. Ryan got to go to the game with the guys in his family.
After our primary program two weeks ago, Ryan got released and was called to teach the Elder's Quorum. Each calling we've had in this ward has been together, so it will be different not to teach together, but we're excited for the new opportunities.
We got together for my sister-in-laws seventeenth birthday last month. We had a great dinner, lots of dessert and had fun playing games.
My parents went to TX to visit my sister, grandma and family. While they were gone I checked in on the house, cats, watered the plants, and mowed the lawn. I haven't mowed the lawn for a long time and it was really fun! My parents flew standby. They were supposed to be home Sunday night, but kept getting bumped and didn't end up coming home until Monday night. My parent's say that they will never fly standby again! Unfortunately, we know how they feel. Ryan used to work for the airlines, so we always flew standby and have had our fair share of delays. I picked them up from the airport and we went to dinner. Thanks Mom & Dad! My mom had a birthday in September, so we're getting together tomorrow to celebrate!
Our mortgage got transferred to Bank of America in August. It has been a pain in the butt! I called to set up a bi-weekly payment plan and they said they hadn't received our August payment. I explained to them that it was paid and they said that until they receive it from our old mortgage company they can't set up a bi-weekly. Well here it is October and they still haven't it! Every time we call we have to explain our situation and verify our information at least twice. Don't they put notes in our account! Don't they know what's going on? Is it hard to ask that we get someone who speaks English? Arghhh! What a pain. They always say "Thanks for choosing Bank of America," and I say, "We didn't choose you!" We had no choice and if we did we wouldn't be working with you guys.
Did you watch Nienie on Oprah? She is amazing. What a great story and inspiration to us all.
Last night we watched Ryan's sister on CSI play against SLCC volleyball. They played 5 games and won! Ryan's whole family was there and we were pretty much the only ones that were cheering for CSI. There were 14 of us so we made lots of noise. Aaron even goes to SLCC, but no one believed him since he was cheering for CSI. Good times. We went out to eat with the team afterwards at Applebees 2 for $20. I was a little upset because Chili's, across the street, was having a 3 for $20 special, but no one wanted to go there...whatever.

Today was super Saturday with my ward. I signed up for a few projects that took 4 and a half hours to complete! Yikes. I'm using some of them for Christmas gifts, so it was worth it. Ryan's been feeling a little under the weather, so I thought I'd bring home some dinner. I had a B1G1 free coupon for Quiznos. I drove to the one by our house, but there was a sign on the door that said due to the economy it was shut down. It listed the address of a different Quiznos so I drove out there, only I couldn't find it. I called Ryan and he gave me the real address which was even further. Once I got there I noticed signs saying that they no longer accept the B1G1 free coupon. WHAT?! I was pretty mad cuz I'd wasted lots of time and gas for a dumb sandwich that I had to pay full price for. I should've just gone to Subway for the $5 foot longs. Come to find out Ryan has a $5 off card for the Quiznos by my work. If . I'd have gone there it would've been like my B1G1 free coupon. Then, of course, I hit every red light on the way home. I stopped off to get a redbox and my free code didn't work. What a night!

Hahahaha! Love the Cullen car art. I would really like to see how the person actually drives. It would be funny if they were a total "grandma driver". No offense to all of the the lovely grandmothers out there. ;)
