Le Book Club

This month we read The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. It's a short read, but I really enjoyed it. It's about a french magazine editor who, more than 10 years ago, had a stroke that left him paralyzed. He has "locked-in syndrome" which means he's stuck in a body, only able to communicate by blinking his left eye, in doing so he wrote this book. He tells what it's like in everyday life, and his story carries you away with his spirit and imagination. They made it into a movie, which is coming for me at the library.
