Less than 5 days later I find this story! This is close to my heart because I LOVE cats. I told Ryan yesterday that I don't think I could love my own children as much.

Witnesses say a man in a red Ford pickup truck deliberately threw the dog from the 3900 South overpass onto the road below. ...and it will "likely not qualify" for the new animal torture bill. Oh great, now instead of torture people will just kill animals. Fabulous.

The 2008 Most Livable State Award goes to.....
New Hampshire! But hey, Utah came in only .66 points behind. To determine a state's "Livability Rating," each state's rankings for 44 categories were averaged. The scale is 1 to 50, the higher the number, the better. Data used are for the most recent year in which comparable numbers are available from most states. All factors were given equal weight.
